Kweichow Moutai Osaka Expo Edition

Kweichow Moutai Osaka Expo Edition is a packaging design for a commemorative liquor created for the 2025 Osaka World Expo. The form is inspired by the exterior of the China Pavilion and recalls traditional Chinese bamboo book slips. The ceramic bottle stands within a metal landscape, and the box is made of ecological bamboo board, metal and artificial leather. A metal timeline on the top of the box marks the long relationship between the brand and the World Expo. A metal handle shaped like a wine jar slides along the timeline to rotate the box open.

Congtai Huofenzi

Congtai Huofenzi is a packaging design for a Chinese baijiu aimed at young consumers. The visual concept is based on the movement of water and the active nature of liquor molecules, expressed through a central motif named the Eye of Vitality. The bottle carries a dynamic embossed texture and a brand emblem inlaid on a resin plaque. A contoured indentation at the center of the bottle supports a comfortable grip. Kweichow Moutai

Kweichow Moutai is a packaging design for a Chinese spirit sold in Japan. The bottle shape is based on the classic Moutai bottle and takes the colors and character of Ru Kiln porcelain, which began in the Tang dynasty. The calligraphy on the package comes from a poem by the Japanese poet Prince Nagaya, written during the Tang dynasty. The same phrase appeared on relief supplies sent from Japan to Wuhan, recalling long cultural exchange between the two countries. The package measures 77 by 77 by 173 millimeters. The design serves as a medium for cultural exchange.

Guijiu 20

Guijiu 20 is packaging for a Chinese baijiu spirit. The bottle joins a round top with a square body, a form linked to traditional ideas of harmony. Relief patterns of butterflies, phoenixes, birds and fish are drawn from the traditional motifs of ethnic groups in Guizhou, China. Annual ring lines and terrace lines refer to ageing and to the local landscape. The bottle is made of high-transparency glass with a metallic cap, and a surface treatment gives the glass a ceramic-like texture at a lower cost. The square body also improves grip.

The design inspiration comes from the regional characteristics of Shanxi (such as Taihang Mountains), classical architecture of the Ming Dynasty, and furniture; in color matching, color contrast is used to enhance the brightness and contrast of the box and bottle shapes, creating a visual impact. Guojiao 1573 is a limited-edition packaging design for a premium Chinese baijiu. The design draws on the loong, an auspicious figure in Chinese culture. Three-dimensional sculpting presents the loong across both the bottle and the outer packaging, and parts of the figure stay concealed within the forms. The bottle is made with an ancient kiln-fired ceramic technique and is shaped by hand. The package measures 205 by 170 by 295 millimetres. Zhen Yuan Zeng is a packaging design for an aged baijiu, a traditional Chinese spirit. The bottle is made of ceramic and shaped as a modern version of the traditional liquor jar. Precise geometric facets refine the classic form and reduce its visual weight. The rippled cap refers to the slow aging of the liquor inside the jar. The bottle is wrapped in sulphate paper, which softens the outline and partly conceals the form. The paper is peeled away by the consumer, so the bottle is revealed step by step. Shguijiu Dian is a packaging design for a high-end gift Baijiu from Shanghai. The form is inspired by Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China. The crystal bottle and the mirror-like metal cap read as one shape, with spiraling curves and an asymmetric profile. The outer box is silver plated and cylindrical, with an irregular curved surface. The outer box measures 110 mm in diameter and 330 mm in height, and the bottle measures 80 mm in diameter and 300 mm in height. Both parts can be kept and displayed, which reduces waste.

Xi Feng Jiu

Xi Feng Jiu Tian Qi is a packaging design for a premium Chinese baijiu. The bottle is made of local crystal, electroplated with gold and finished with laser engraved patterns. The cap is made of aluminium alloy and set with crystal diamond cuts. The form of the cap draws on the phoenix crown worn by brides in ancient China. The gift box is made of acrylic and has a distinctive shape. The lid rises like a curtain and gradually reveals the bottle. The movement recalls the lifting of the red veil in traditional Chinese weddings.
